Jo Rou is an actor, writer, improviser and filmmaker focusing on offbeat, subversive, and heartfelt characters.

A trained writer and performer through the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre New York from 2011-2020 where she was also a house team performer, she has written and starred in videos that have been featured on CollegeHumor, Funny or Die, Huffpost, Glamour, and E! Online.

Her comedy pilot, I ADORE DOLORES, won "Most Outrageous" at the Orlando Film Festival, premiered at Denver SeriesFest, and was accepted into the Gotham Film Institute as a part of their episodic development lab.

She has also worked for The Onion, Saturday Night Live, and Jimmy Kimmel Live.

She likes collecting stamps, painting and doing jigsaw puzzles with the edge pieces last.
